Background: Pregnancy-induced hypertension is a serious complication during pregnancy causing maternal and fetal morbidity mortality. associated with thrombocytopenia can help in predicting the severity of disease. The study aimed to platelet count, indices Pregnancy induced patients compare them normotensive pregnant women. Materials methods: This was case control study, conducted on visiting antenatal care (ANC) at Tertiary rural hospital western India. Study population included total 82 patients, which were divided into 2 groups 41 each (healthy women) (pregnant women PIH). Patients chronic known excluded from study. blood samples collected processed fully automated cell counter for estimation count indices. Results: group ranged 186434.1±81086.9 whereas it 268659±72206.9, showing that significantly lower than group. MPV, PDW, systolic BP, diastolic BP found be elevated as compared Conclusions: present concludes parameter such platelets considered an early, economical easily available assessment PIH cases.
